Heavenly Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle
A delicious, sumptuous dessert consisting of layers of chocolate cake, creamy cheesecake filling, rich chocolate pudding and velvety ganache. Topped with chocolate truffles and shaved chocolate, this trifle is a dazzling treat for any occasion!
Ingredients
For the layers:
1 package chocolate cake, cooked and crumbled
2 cups chocolate pudding
1 cup chocolate sauce or ganache
For the Cheesecake Filling:
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup (8 oz) whipping cream (Cool Whip), thawed
For the topping:
Chocolate truffles or chocolate balls
chocolate shavings
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Gently fold in half of the whipped cream to create a smooth, creamy filling. Set the acid. 2. Start the Layers:
In a large dessert plate or glass bowl, spread a layer of crumbled chocolate cake evenly over the bottom.
3. Add Cheesecake Layer:
Place a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture over the cake crumbs and spread evenly.
4. Layer Chocolate Pudding:
Next, spread a thick layer of chocolate pudding over the cream cheese mixture.
5. Drizzle with Chocolate Frosting:
Drizzle chocolate frosting or ganache over the pudding layer for extra richness.
6. Repeat Layers:
Continue layering in the same order — chocolate cake, cheesecake filling, pudding, and chocolate frosting — until the pan is full, finishing with a final layer of whipped cream.
7. Decorate:
Top with chocolate truffles or chocolate balls and sprinkle chocolate shavings generously over the whipped cream. 8. Chill:
